Defender Gareth McAuley today predicted he will sign a new West Brom contract as he celebrated being crowned the Baggies' double Player of the Season.
The popular centre-back picked up both the supporters' and players' awards at last night's end-of-season dinner at the ICC in Birmingham.
And he insists he is confident he can agree a contract extension despite talks so far failing to yield an agreement.
The 33-year-old Northern Ireland international's current deal ends in 14 months and he said: "Bits and pieces have come out over the last week.
"It's been disappointing to read that things are stalling and I'm not happy. I'm quite relaxed because I'm contracted for next season anyway and things are progressing.
"It's been quite casual really and there's no problem. I think there will be a resolution so I can play here, because it's where I want to be and it's where the club and the manager want me to be.
McAuley's capped an impressive season by collecting both major trophies at last night's ceremony after helping the Baggies to two more club records a day earlier.
Victory at Southampton ensured West Brom's highest tally of wins and best points total in a Premier League season with McAuley, who was 31 when he made his Premier League debut, a key figure.
He said: "The awards are fantastic. I'm really, really happy because it's something I didn't expect. When I play I try my best for the lads, the club and for myself every time, and to get that sort of recognition is fantastic.
"It's something I'm very proud of and humbled by. It is a great group of players. We work hard and play hard and we're a good group with everyone together.
"It's a great place to be and I am really enjoying it. The supporters are paying to come in and watch and if they're giving you their backing it's something to be proud of and humbled by.
"Every time I play and train I try to give the best of myself, for my family and for the lads and if they appreciate that it's fantastic, because I appreciate what they do for me."
