As the remaining clubs produce a run for the name the area has been narrowed down after the first round of the NBA playoffs. While the Indiana Pacers took care of the Brand New York Knicks, to kick off the semifinals on Sunday, a nail-biter was won by the Oklahoma City Thunder against the Memphis Grizzlies. Now, we look forward to Monday's semifinal matchups, as the Chicago Bulls visit the Miami Heat and the San Antonio Spurs host the red-hot Golden State Warriors. Here's a breakdown of each battle, complete with research. Chicago Bulls at Miami Heat (Semifinalsa'Game 1) Where: AmericanAirlines Industry, Arkansas, FL When: 7 p.m. ET Watch: TNT After splitting the summer season series, the Heat and Bulls go at it again in Game hands down the Eastern Conference semifinals on Monday. The Heat won the final matchup in Miami, 105-93. In that game, the Warmth shot 51 percent, whilst the Bulls shot 35 percent. While going 7-of-12 from a floor six different Heat participants scored in double digits, brought by LeBron James, who ended up with 24 items, eight boards, six assists and one take. The Warmth were also out-rebounded by only one table because sport, significant given rebounding was one of Chicago's advantages during the regular time. We all know Chicago has the security, but the crime minus Derrick Rose has to come up large if the Bulls are to shock heat in Miami. But while the Bulls had some big offensive activities against the Brooklyn Nets in the first round, the Heat aren't the Nets. The Warmth were a much better defensive group than Brooklyn throughout the regular time, in terms of competitors' field-goal percentage and defensive efficiency. While I could see the Bulls using a couple of activities in Chicago, I do not think they will beat the Warmth in Miami. Golden State Warriors at San Antonio Spurs (Semifinalsa'Game 1) Where: AT&T Middle, San Antonio, Tx When: 9:30 p.m. ET Watch: TNT After capturing the disheveled Los Angeles Lakers, the Spurs will host the Golden State Warriors in Game hands down the Western Conference semifinals. Both clubs split the summer season series, but San Antonio did not play Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili or Kawhi Leonard in the last game of the series in Oakland. Golden State is coming off a shocking series win over the Denver Nuggets, the Western Conference's No. 3 seed this year. In that line, the Warriors shot an astonishing 49 percent from the floor, including 40 percent from beyond the arc. But I do not expect the Spurs to guard very nearly as badly as Denver did. San Antonio ranks eighth in competitors' field-goal percentage and third in defensive performance in 2013, according to TeamRankings.com. But, more to the point, the Spurs shut out better on three-point photographers. They ranked 12th in the NBA in competitors' three-point proportion this year (Denver ranked 20th) and they used the Lakers to 27 % firing from beyond the arc in the first round. That is vital against a Warriors group that rated first in the NBA in firing during the regular time. But there's more. The Spurs will also be a means better three-point shooting group compared to the Nuggets. They ranked fourth in the group in shooting during the regular time, and they rank third in the playoffs. One last thing: In regards to taking care of the ball, the Spurs strike the Warriors out of the water. Golden State ranks 24th in the NBA in turnovers per possession this year, such as the playoffs. San Antonio ranks eighth in the category. Along with that, Golden State has been worse looking after the ball throughout the playoffs, while San Antonio has been better. The Warriors might have surprised the Nuggets in the initial round, but the Spurs certainly are a very different team.
