[Reuters] This has generated a number of managers being joined with Real Madrid and Benitez made it clear that he still has quite strong connections with the membership. "I know Real Madrid well as a club, I was there from age 13 years old as a player and also as a Benitez told Marca. "Moreover, I'm from Madrid. It's wonderful that they link you in one way or still another, but it does not make me lose my focus on my current staff and that's Chelsea." The former Liverpool boss refused to touch upon the continuing future of Mourinho, but he did reveal that he was once in the running for the Real Madrid managerial article when he was in charge at Anfield. "JosA Mourinho may be the Real Madrid coach. I've a rule that I do not talk about the coaches of other groups. I am concentrating on my own personal and that's enough for me," continued Benitez. "Everybody knows that if you are at a, as I was at Liverpool, it is always more positive than negative to help keep your word, even if it means you have to stop anything as beautiful as Real Madrid was." Benitez has established that he'll leave Chelsea at the end of the year but he's willing to once more bring the best out of striker Fernando Torres who flourished beneath the Spanish manager at Liverpool. "It holds true that Fernando's purpose tallies are less than they were at Liverpool. There he had a good understanding with Gerrard and he was helped by the quick style of play a lot," Benitez included. "Now the defenders here know him better but he really has 19 targets. The problem is people judge Torres by what he cost but that's nothing related to making a judgment on his tasks. Before he scores more goals." It is merely a problem of time Torres did report twice against Rubin Kazan and Benitez will soon be hoping his goals might help fireplace Chelsea to Europa League honor and a spot in next season's Champions League.
