They have better optics than the discount and are much better made store versions, but at $59 are much cheaper than many of the premium brands. Design appears very solid. The knobs are tight, and there's no give around the lens. Anything seems fixed correctly set up. Tip says that theyare constructed of some thing called Grilamid BTR, a bio-based fat, which it claims is more durable than the usual lot. I'd concur that they seem very tough. They were actually misplaced by me for quite a bit, only to find them at the bottom of pile of junk I retain in the passenger seat of my car. Not a scratch on aem. The Guideline Swellas lenses are very clear and sharp, actually improving presence in that calm light that sits between a full blaze and overcast. They work equally well in bright sunlight. The lenses are polarized polycarbonate, with protection from UV A and B. Iave worn the Guideline Swells on two journeys now, and just like the match. Theyare a little on the huge size, which meets my wide cheekbones very properly, but donat fall when Iam moving. I also appreciate thata'unlike several sports concentrated glassesa'these are not face embracing. That suggests that when I overheat, they donat haze up such as for instance a couple of other pair I possess.
