NFL Rumors: Latest on Tim Tebow and More Players with Potential to Be Moved

Quarterbacks have already been switching teams this offseason at a rate that makes it hard to keep track, and that trend hasn't come to an end yet.

The only thing surprising about this is that Tim Tebow is still on the Jets. It became painfully obvious last season as Tebow rode the pine in New York while the Jets suffered through some abysmal quarterback play, that Jets coach Rex Ryan was not a big believer in Tebow's ability to handle the quarterbacking duties.

Yet here we are, with the majority of free agency and the NFL draft in the past, and Tebow is still on the Jets. So, maybe they will give him a shot after all?

It is still a possibility I suppose, but with the draft gone and free agency having mostly run its course, if it doesn't happen soon, the Jets are just going to have to cut him loose.

At that point, Tebow's future home is up in the air, and he may have a hard time finding any team, as all roster spots are filling up.

He isn't going to take Tom Brady's job, and while he provides the Patriots with a talented backup, let's face it: If Tom Brady is lost for any significant period of time, the Patriots will be planning for next season anyway.

This makes the strong-armed Mallett a popular topic in trade discussions, and there have apparently been discussions.

Boston.com's Greg A. Bedard reports,"according to three league sources," that "multiple teams" have called the Pats about Mallett.

However, the Patriots aren't just going to give Mallett away; a team is going to have to make it worth their while. Bedard reports the Patriots, prior to this draft, were looking for a "second this season or a first in '14."

The Patriots didn't take a quarterback in this draft, which will make them a little more reluctant to part with Mallett, as they'd have a hard time landing a backup.

Speculation about Nick Foles finding a new team became relevant the moment the Eagles hired Chip Kelly as their head coach.

NFL.com's Gregg Rosenthal paints a picture in Philadelphia that leads him to the logical conclusion that quarterback Foles could be finding a new landing spot.

With the selection of USC quarterback Matt Barkley in the fourth round, the Eagles now have five quarterbacks on the roster.

Someone has to go. It's not going to be Michael Vick, who is the logical choice for starter, and I can't imagine Kelly taking Barkley if he had any thought he might cut him.

Kinne isn't going to make it. And while Foles obviously has way more potential than the journeyman Dixon, Dixon knows Kelly's system from their time at Oregon.

Dixon is also a nice option for third quarterback as he could come in, if Vick were to get injured during a game, and allow the Eagles to keep their same game plan.
