Manchester United versus. Manchester City, 2013 EPL: Final score 1-2...

Sergio Aguero's world class run and target in the 79th minute offered Manchester City a triumph over their bitter opponents Manchester United. Sergio Aguero's spectacular run and strike 11 minutes from the final whistle gave Manchester City a deserved and emotionally buoying win over their city rivals Manchester United. James Milner and an from Vincent Kompany provided the game's other goals. With the win City shuts United's edge towards the top of the table to 12 points nonetheless it is unlikely to do far more than wait United from certainly claiming their 20th league title. United's best potential for the first half came in the 9th second when Wayne Rooney found Robin Van Persie in place between two City defenders as he cut in the box. Rooney's past was somewhat light and forced a modification from RVP that gave Joe Hart and his defenders a moment to behave. RVP still came close but with a difficult angle to shot at, he sent the ball wide of the post. From there City's attack ramped up because they put United under heavy pressure. In the minute Carlos Tevez failed to get a clear shot in traffic away after finding a ball headed down seriously to him in the package. Tevez was just in a position to generate a large part that didn't end up troubling the United protection after it was essentially wasted by James Milner. Mark Silva not exactly connected with Tevez in the minute, well redirecting a lengthy ball straight back across the box that forced a quick shift from Phil Jones who dove in front of the Argentine striker could get on the ball. Silva found a card in the 29th minute after a push from Rio Ferdinand in the box caused the Spanish midfielder to aim what appeared to be a "Hand of God" minute. Whether or not Silva's energy was intentional or caused by being knocked somewhat off balance by Ferdinand it open for discussion, but the referee went with intentional and handed out the game's first card. After 30 minutes of open and engaging fighting play, the match grinded to a stop in the last 15 minutes. The free moving passing and table approaching were replaced with bashing fights and brute force that's how it's supposed to be and as the two side seemingly remembered this is really a derby. Ryan Giggs went unpunished, besides a speaking with from the referee, for a challenge on Vincent Kompany. 3 minutes prior to the break, Kompany was shown a yellow card for going right on through Ashley Young. Patrice and Milner Evra were also involved in a collision that left the United fullback down for one minute, but he surely could keep on. Town finally broke through six minutes to the second half. Ryan Giggs made a ridiculously sick advised attempt at a (find the spotlight if you missed it, this is a bad decision to observe) and helped Gareth Berry to competition free down the left wing before centering back to Nasri at the top of the United area. Rafael did an excellent work recovering and cutting off Nasri but he was still in a position to tee up Milner who was following the play for a, hard shot that experienced traffic, appearing to have a small deflection, and evaded David p Gea to place City up 1-0. The lead however was temporary. In after Yaya Toure failed into Rafael the second United received a set piece on the proper side. Van Persie's bomb range travel free kick was headed by Phil Jones off the trunk or neck of Kompany and in to the net behind Joe Hart, puling United even at 1-1. Town wrestled the cause back the moment thanks to a sensational individual work from 2nd half subscription Sergio Aguero. After some patient build-up by City, Toure discovered Aguero cutting through the heart, 20-yards out on the side of the United place and the Argentine proceeded to dribble and dummy his way past Ferdinand, Jones and Danny Welbeck before working an attempt in to the top of the net over De Gea. It is City's 2nd straight group conquer United at Old Trafford. The Citizens embarrassed their opponents 6-1 in October 2012 on the solution to their first league title since 1968.
