Leading welterweight prospect Gunnar Nelson will need certainly to wait just a little longer before he gets to move back into the Octagon for his third fight after suffering an injury that will hold him out of his planned attack at UFC 160. The Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu black belt was signed to experience veteran Mike Pyle on the card on May 25, but he is now forced to the sidelines and the Icelander was bitten by the injury bug. UFC officers announced late on Wednesday evening that with Nelson out of the fight, Rick Story can now step in to just take his place and face Pyle on the upcoming card. With 12 UFC battles to his record, Story has been a mainstay in the welterweight division for nearly the last four years.A He's were able to pick up some very big victories along the way, including a unanimous conclusion success over present UFC welterweight name challenger Johny Hendricks. As a of fact, Story is currently the only real spot on Hendricks' report as he storms towards a title shot later this year. Meanwhile, Story will look to construct back-to-back victories for the first time since 2010 and 2011 when he continued a six-fight win streak. Throughout that time, Story defeated many top names including former subject adversary Thiago Alves. Story has fallen on tougher times recently, but, jumping back and forth between losses and wins over his last four fights. HeAwas submitted by Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu star Demian Maia last October, but came ultimately back with a in March by shooting through former Strikeforce welterweight Quinn Mulhern at UFC 158. Following the win, Story immediately started calling for a fight other UFC welterweight Jake Ellenberger, who he beat in 2008 included in the SportFight campaign. History did not get his wish, but he'll get the chance to compete at UFC 160 against yet another crafty veteran of the Octagon. Scott Pyle has faced a number of the toughest competition in the team within the past couple of years, and lately he's converted into a finishing machine putting away his last three opponents by knockout or TKO.
