Our statistics show that while Lamps is way out in front in the charts for most goals for a midfielder, his goals-per-game ratio has him down in THIRD.
That stat has been beaten by two other midfielders — Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo and Arsenal's Robert Pires.
Ronaldo's proficiency in front of goal has his ratio at a phenomenal 0.43, having scored 84 times during 196 games while with the Red Devils.
Frenchman Pires is also ahead of Lampard, squeezing past the 34-year-old with a 0.31 ratio having netted 62 times in 198 Gunners' matches.
Our ratios are only taken from midfielders who have made the top 10 for number of goals scored in the Premier League.
Lampard, who is now just two shy of Bobby Tambling's record of 202 Chelsea goals, is still comfortably ahead of England pal Steven Gerrard, whose ratio stands at 0.22.
Check out the table below to see the best goals-to-game ratios from the top 10 goal-scoring midfielders in Premier League history.
